Full-time, Associate and Administrative Faculty members appointed to the College are considered "faculty" and are to complete all teaching and administrative functions assigned to them according to the job description. Additionally, as teachers and instructors, they are expected to be prepared as scholars for the course content they are to teach, to develop and submit syllabi, grades and other data and reports as required and to meet all classes assigned (or ensure arrangements for qualified guest instructors when illness or enforced absence from campus occurs). Faculty members are to be available to cadets with adequate specific availability in the office, especially for those needing educational assistance. All faculty members may be called upon to serve or be appointed to committees and are expected to attend faculty meetings. Fulfillment of teaching responsibilities requires all faculty members to develop professionally and intellectually by pursuing appropriate academic training or degrees, by reading in professional journals and texts, attending professional conferences and workshops and by making use of available faculty development tools. All faculty members are expected to be prepared as scholars for the courses which they are to teach, meet all classes assigned, and to arrange for sufficient time before or after scheduled classes to meet and advise, aid all members of the class who request, who have questions or who have academic needs related to the coursework.
